Job Description

The Art Director collaborates with the Creative Director to develop visual concepts for projects, establishing the visual style and setting the tone and animation style. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing high-quality visuals for commercials, designing storyboards, working with copywriters, presenting ideas, and supervising designers. The role requires carrying out projects from concept to delivery while maintaining brand stewardship and interacting with various teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and presentation skills, an understanding of advertising, and knowledge of digital platforms. POSITION SUMMARY

The Art Director works with the Creative Director to conceptualize all visual output for projects, establishing the visual language and setting the tone and animation style. This position helps to guide execution of all projects.

Must have experience working with social media, plus experience with tech clients would be preferred but not essential.

JOB DUTIES

  • * Conceptualize and execute high-quality visuals for commercials

  • * Conceive and design storyboards for pitches and for pre-visualizations

  • * Work with Creative Director and other designers to create and design high-caliber visuals

  • Experience working with copywriters to develop new ideas

  • *Bring forward new and unique ideas and approaches

  • Able to clearly communicate design decisions and lead client presentations/pitches

  • Supervise Designers and others involved in creative process

  • Experience presenting ideas both internally to team and to senior client stakeholders

  • Carry out projects from concept to delivery

  • Maintaining brand stewardship

  • Interact with different levels of management, production and design teams

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years’ experience in Art, Design & Animation

  • Knowledge/experience with animation would be preferred but not required

  • Knowledge of Figma would be preferred but not required

  • Must be proficient with Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Must ALSO be able to work independently with limited direction

  • Must ALSO be comfortable concepting and designing with limited information and simplifying complex ideas

  • Ability to prioritize under tight time constraints and to work successfully in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective interpersonal skills across teams and when liaising with clients

  • Understanding of Advertising business, conceptual creative process, idea explorations

  • Knowledge of digital platforms, including online, mobile, tablets, and other emerging technologies

  • Ownership of projects, with the ability to carry out projects from concept to delivery

  • Understanding of narrative structure and storytelling

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Possession of superior presentation skills – both in creation and verbalization
