Rolls-Royce is seeking an experienced ASIC Design and Verification Engineer to join their Complex Electronics Capability team in Solihull. This role involves the design, verification, and support of advanced electronic control systems across the full product lifecycle for aerospace platforms. The engineer will translate requirements into validated electrical designs, analyze and test compliance, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Hands-on experience with VDHL, SystemVerilog, and UVM
  • Strong track record of delivering complex engineering projects
  • A degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Solid understanding of related engineering disciplines
  • Strong knowledge of platform interfaces, component technologies, system behaviour, verification methods, electrical design, and system architecture
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and perform under pressure

ASIC Design and Verification Engineer

Full Time, Permanent, Days

Solihull - minimum of 3 days a week on-site

We're looking for an experienced ASIC Design Verification Engineer to join our Complex Electronics Capability team in Solihull, working on the design, verification, and support of advanced electronic control systems.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll play a key role across the full product lifecycle — from concept through to qualification and in-service support — helping to deliver mission-critical solutions for the next generation of aerospace platforms.

  • Design, develop, verify and support electronic control systems.
  • Translate high-level requirements into validated electrical designs.
  • Analyse, model, and test designs to prove compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems.
  • Support investigations, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement

Who we’re looking for:

You will bring hands on experience with VDHL, SystemVerilog and UVM along with a string track record of delivering complex engineering projects. You will have:

  • A degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience), with a solid understanding of related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of platform interfaces, component technologies, system behaviour, verification methods, electrical design, and system architecture.
