Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Discovery seeks an Assistant Manager, Tour Operations for Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood.  This position is part of a team of assistant managers and is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service for our guests and managing the quality of service from our team members. Under the direction of the Manager, Director, and VP/GM, the team of assistant managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Tour.         

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Leads a team of in-house and 3rd party technicians responsible for the regular maintenance, repair, testing, and evaluation of company assets, technology and exhibits.  This includes managing the condition of curated company assets, lighting, interactive elements, media, casework, graphics, and finishes across all exhibitions to ensure seamless daily operations for the Studio Tour’s displays and experiences.
  • Oversees a team of Union employees.  Develops team schedules, training material, standard operating procedures (SOP), and regularly conducts technical training for the Exhibitions team.
  • Manages and budgets for maintenance projects and seasonal exhibit installations as required.  Coordinates the development, planning and scheduling of exhibit maintenance projects with the appropriate vendors and Studio departments.
  • Regularly meets with the WB Archive team to maintain awareness of the quality, condition and availability of new and existing company assets.  Participates in a collaborative process of exhibition development with Archive staff, WBSTH Leadership, Studio Stakeholders, and outside consultants.
  • Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of employees and customers in exhibition spaces by ensuring adherence to Safety protocols.
  • Is the Duty Manager on weekends with key-holder responsibilities to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
  • Responsible for helping ensure employees are informed of company news, studio activity, attraction highlights, local information, and other changes pertinent to their roles. Support tour management through consistent and effective communication.
  • Oversight of team members by ensuring the staffing plan for the day is well thought out and executed specifically when it comes to breaks and lunches, proper scheduling and time off requests, etc.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 1-2 years experience working with the general public in a visitor attraction leadership role or equivalent leadership experience in hospitality, restaurant or retail environment.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a strong technical background around projectors and show systems. 
  • Experience in asset management preferred
  • Experience in exhibit creation and maintenance preferred
  • Background as museum curator or archivist a plus. 
  • Experience in the training and development of personnel.
  • Experience in vendor management preferred.
  • Experience with invoice systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Must be able to deal effectively and tactfully with team members, executives, guests, and vendors
  • Must be self-reliant, self motivated, and can achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of communication devices.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $40,943.00 - $76,036.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
