Unilever is seeking an Assistant Packing and Process Engineering Manager for its Cikarang Factory. This role involves operating and maintaining utility facilities, managing environmental performance, and leading related projects. The manager will be responsible for creating a process engineering strategy focused on zero waste and loss, and implementing improvement methods. The position requires a design thinker with curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement.
Must Have
- Operate and maintain utility facilities (electrical, biomass, gas, compressed air).
- Manage powder detergent processing, calibrations, and NDT works.
- Handle MHE rentals, supports, and building facility maintenance.
- Represent factory for NSD innovation plans and projects.
- Control environmental performance (water, air, gas, electricity).
- Lead specific engineering projects.
- Collaborate with internal peers and global/SEAA expert teams.
- Over 5 years of factory experience in engineering, processing, production, or safety.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Proficient in English (writing and conversation).
- Familiar with standard office desktop applications (Ms-Office).
- Understand factory cost, spending, and capital expenditure management.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with graphics or design CAD.

Main Responsibilities
- Responsiblefor operating & maintaining the utility i.e. electrical power facilities (upstream and downstream), biomass & gas facility system, compressed air system, yards work, powder detergent processing capability & improvement, calibrations & NDT works on detergent powder making facilities, MHE rentals & supports and building facility maintenance, plus represent factory as SUIT team for NSD innovation plans and project.
- Responsible for environmental performancecontrole.g., water supply, air emissions, gasconsumptions, electrical use/consumptionand any other keysofutility. Occasionally, due to nature of project (part of innovation and savings),
- Lead certainrelatedproject.
- Report to NSD Manufacturing & Eng. Manager and will work together with related peers such as Asst. production & process manager, asst. NSD maintenanceeng.manager andSulphonationoperation asst. manager, SHE officer and R/D team memberandalsowork together with global or SEAAexpertiseteam for
Candidate Criteria
Experience &Qualification
- The candidate shall be coming from factory with >5 years of experience, both in engineering, processing,productionor safety in factory
- He/shemustbachelor’s degree in chemical/mechanical/electrical engineering or relatedspecificof school of engineering.
- He/she must be able to speak English (writing & conversation) at basic to moderate level of acceptance.
Skill
- Must be familiar with standard office desktop application (Ms-Office) and graphics or design CAD is an advantage.
- Must be well understanding the basic factory cost and spending and capex management, whichare required tomanage spending and capex.
