Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Associate Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role involves providing first-level technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues, and ensuring efficient IT operations. Key responsibilities include desktop system support, troubleshooting, installation, user account management, ticket logging, and assisting with new hire onboarding.
Must Have:
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop systems (Windows/Mac), applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems, and standard applications.
  • Set up and support user accounts, permissions, email, and system access.
  • Log, track, and manage IT support tickets using the helpdesk system.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or relevant teams.
  • Maintain inventory records of IT assets and equipment.
  • Assist in deploying patches, antivirus updates, and security configurations.
  • Support video conferencing and collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Teams, etc.).
  • Participate in new hire onboarding, including workstation setup and orientation.
  • Follow IT policies, procedures, and security best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in IT desktop support or similar role.
  • Good understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic ticketing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
