Job Description

As a Salesforce QA Tester, you will evaluate and test Salesforce and enterprise applications to ensure quality and functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, improving the overall user experience. Responsibilities include test planning, documentation, execution, defect identification, and test data management, contributing to quality assurance process improvements.
Good To Have:
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder).
  • Understanding of automated test tools like Provar/Selenium.
Must Have:
  • Evaluate and test Salesforce and enterprise applications and configurations.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
  • Define test objectives, strategies, and test plans for Salesforce projects.
  • Create and execute detailed test cases and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and report defects clearly and concisely.
  • Manage and maintain test data integrity and relevance.
  • Contribute to overall quality assurance process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM platform and configurations (Sales & Service Cloud).
  • Solid SFDC admin skills.
  • 2-4 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably with Salesforce CRM focus.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance concepts and processes.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, and relevant tools like Jira and TestRail.

About the Role:

As a Salesforce QA Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing Salesforce and enterprise applications & configurations to ensure they meet the required standards of quality and functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and product managers, to identify and resolve defects and improve the overall user experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback during the development process
  • Test Ownership (Planning, Documentation, Execution etc) : Collaborate with product owners to define test objectives, strategies, and test plans for Salesforce projects. Create & execute detailed test cases and test scripts (inclusive of applicable regressions) based on business requirements to verify the functionality, performance, security, and usability of Salesforce / enterprise applications. Maintain comprehensive test documentation.
  • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and report defects and issues in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and severity assessment
  • Test Data Management: Manage and maintain test data, ensuring data integrity and relevance for testing purposes
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to the overall quality assurance process, including test process improvements, test automation initiatives, and the adoption of best practices.
  • Availability: Be available for standups & misc business calls during scheduled timing (typically early PST hours)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM platform and configurations (Sales & Service Cloud) with solid SFDC admin skills
  • 2-4 years of experience (preferred) in manual software testing (preferably with a focus on Salesforce CRM)
  • Passion for QA & Strong understanding of the Quality Assurance concepts & processes
  • Attention to detail and solid documentation & communications skills (clear, concise & comprehensive test planning, case creation, defect reporting and collaboration with cross-functional teams)
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies & relevant tools (eg Jira, TestRail etc.)
  • A team player who can step in, take ownership & adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder) are a plus. Understanding of automated test tools like provar/Selenium is a bonus
