About the Role
Zeta is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Credit Card Operations Associate to support day-to-day functions within our credit card operations team. This role includes responsibilities in transaction processing, customer account management, and reconciliation of network settlements.
Responsibilities
1. Transaction Processing
- Monitor and process daily credit card transactions (authorizations, postings, reversals, etc.).
- Ensure all transactions are posted correctly to customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Track declined, failed, or duplicate transactions and support issue resolution in coordination with relevant teams.
2. Network Settlement & Reconciliation
- Support daily reconciliation of credit card network settlement files (Visa,MasterCard,RuPay, etc.).
- Match acquiring and issuing transactions against settlement reports from networks and processors.
- Identify and escalate mismatches, delays, or anomalies in settlements to senior staff or finance teams.
- Assist in preparing reconciliation reports for internal audit and regulatory compliance.
3. Application & Account Support
- Enter and validate credit card applications in the internal system.
- Update customer information and perform basic KYC/document verification as needed.
4. Dispute & Fraud Support
- Log and track customer transaction disputes and chargebacks.
- Assist with documentation gathering and follow-up in coordination with fraud and chargeback teams.
5. General Operational Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all processed transactions and reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Adhere to internal control procedures and regulatory standards in all operational tasks.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of card networks (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and payment systems preferred.
- Good MS Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in credit card or banking operations, especially in transaction processing or reconciliation.
- Internship or work experience in a bank, card processing company, or BPO in the credit card domain.
- Familiarity with core banking systems, card management systems, or reconciliation tools.
- Willingness to work in shifts, especially during peak settlement times.
