Backend Engineer - Third Party Model

This role is for engineers passionate about the GenAI media revolution, leveraging deep experience in backend APIs and robust HTTP client/server design. The Backend Engineer will build high-performance, reliable proxies for partner model providers. Key responsibilities include identifying, designing, and developing foundational HTTP proxies and fal serverless endpoints, writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable software, and enhancing the robustness and scalability of existing infrastructure. The role also involves conducting design and code reviews, creating developer documentation, and developing comprehensive testing strategies for fault tolerance.

Must Have

• Identify, design, and develop foundational HTTP proxies and fal serverless endpoints for 3rd party model providers.
• Write clear, well-tested, and maintainable software.
• Analyze and improve robustness and scalability of proxies, APIs, and fallback infrastructure.
• Conduct design/code reviews, create documentation, develop testing strategies for fault tolerance.
• 3+ years experience building HTTP services with Python.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and improving system efficiency, scalability, and stability.
• Proficiency in version control practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Conduct design and code reviews, create developer documentation, and develop testing strategies for robustness and fault tolerance

Requirements

• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in building HTTP services with Python
• Experience designing, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
• Proficiency in version control practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation

• $180,000 - $250,000 + equity + comprehensive benefits package

• We are currently hiring in downtown San Francisco.
