Job Description

The Barista will craft exceptional espresso and coffee beverages using Lavazza recipes and high-end equipment in a fast-paced, luxury environment at the base of Aspen Mountain. The role focuses on personalized service to ensure each guest receives an elevated café experience reflecting Aspen's premium standards. The Barista will maintain a clean and stylish workspace and collaborate with team members to uphold operational excellence. This position reports to the Aspen Collections General Manager. Applications will be accepted until October 1, 2025, for the 2025-26 Winter Season.
Must have:

Position Summary

With a focus on personalized service, this role ensures each guest receives an elevated café experience that reflects the premium standards of Aspen. The Barista also maintains a clean, stylish workspace and collaborates closely with team members to uphold operational excellence. This role reports to the Aspen Collections General Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of equipment
  • Is responsible for station set-up, side work and station breakdown
  • Clean and restock station throughout shift
  • Maintain positive communication with service and kitchen staff
  • Make Manager aware of guests’ comments and complaints
  • Comply with all policies and procedures for the Aspen Collections and the Aspen Skiing Company
  • Is familiar with fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5-Star Customer Service experience required
  • Club Service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of wine, food, and cooking methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of 5-star standards and ability to adhere to them in every aspect of operations
  • Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to do basic problem-solving
  • Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
  • Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing to team members and customers

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
  • Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50 lbs.)
