What Is The Job About?
As a Basketball Operations Coordinator, you will join a dedicated team of experts managing a team of System Operators, helping deliver quality data for both NBA and G-League games on a nightly basis. You will also work with the Basketball Leadership group to escalate hardware issues arising from Live Operations, help to alleviate them and find quick, effective resolutions.
This role is a combination of Live Operations Supervising (Nights, Weekends, etc) as needed, Hardware Quality Assurance Day to Day tasks at the direction of the Implementation Lead, and travel (as needed) for Basketball calibrations, installs, maintenance, and/or Replay Deliveries. As needs come up in any or all of those deliveries month-to-month, the Basketball Ops Coordinator will be deployed to work on those areas at-will.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take direction from the Implementation Manager and Lead on Team Basketball to ensure Day to Day HQA responsibilities across all basketball systems are handled.
- Coordinate actions across arenas, and ensure follow-up and resolutions and communicate externally.
- Assist and oversee the operating of the technologies during the game remotely from the Atlanta Office.
- Identify potential issues and work to find solutions to maximize operational efficiency.
- Accountable for the live data quality of our NBA & G-League Tracking Systems
- Main point of contact for the operators, both for day-to-day communication and providing operational feedback.
- Act as a mentor to a select number of workers within the Live Operations team.
- Proactively actioning workflow changes to improve operational effectiveness.
- Communicating operational improvements to the Ops pool.
- Oversee pre-game checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures and solve problems in a timely manner when issues arise.
- Working on improving operator knowledge of the Hawk-Eye system, and providing feedback around knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.

- In-depth understanding of Basketball operations, officiating, terminology, and processes.
- Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and logically externally to clients.
- Ability to prioritize, address high-priority issues, and escalate to leadership.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role within operations or a sports technology.
- Proficient in project management software such as ClickUp.
- Proficient in using presentation tools such as Google Slides and Google Sheets.
- This position will require schedule flexibility, including weekends, late nights, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel for on-site support and installs – at the needs of the business (all sports) and our Basketball-specific clients.
