Job Description

As a Build Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure. You will utilize Shell/Perl scripting and configuration tools, adhering to Agile, DevOps, and modern automation practices. You will need hands-on experience with version control, container platforms, and cloud infrastructure. You will also be involved in troubleshooting build failures, identifying root causes across CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, and environment configurations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of CI/CD processes and automation tools.
Must have:
  • 3-4 years of experience in DevOps, Build & Release, and CI/CD automation
  • Experience with SonarQube for quality checks
  • Experience using Coverity for static code analysis
  • Strong hands-on experience in Jenkins for various tasks
  • Proficient in Shell and Perl scripting for automation
  • In-depth GitHub Administration knowledge
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Podman
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Good to have:
  • Advanced scripting for automation tasks
  • Integration of static analysis tools in CI pipelines
  • Security best practices in DevOps workflows

Job Description

Build, enhance and maintain high-quality CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure using Shell/Perl scripting and configuration tools, following Agile, DevOps, and modern automation practices. Hands-on experience with version control, container platforms, and cloud infrastructure.

Technologies: Jenkins, SonarQube, Coverity, GitHub, Docker, Podman, Ansible, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Artifactory

Required Qualifications
· 3-4 years of relevant work experience in DevOps, Build & Release, and CI/CD automation
· Experience working with SonarQube (run and configure Sonar scans for quality checks)
· Experience using Coverity for static code analysis and security scanning
· Strong hands-on experience in Jenkins: Job creation, pipeline configuration, Jenkins plugin management
· Proficient in Shell and Perl scripting for automation and build tasks
· In-depth GitHub Administration knowledge: Repo setup, access control, and plugin usage
· Experience in branching strategies including Branch Creation, Pull/Merge Requests, Collapse strategies
· Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and Podman
· Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for build, deployment, and system-level issues
· Experience in troubleshooting build failures, identifying root causes across CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, and environment configurations
· Experience creating and deploying RPM packages and patches
· Proficient in Linux commands, system operations, and scripting
· Experience with YAML and Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipeline automation
· Working knowledge of Artifactory for artifact management and binary repositories
· Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and server provisioning
· Familiar with AWS services and cloud deployment patterns
· Working experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
· Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud provisioning

Desired Skills
· Advanced scripting for automation tasks
· Integration of static analysis tools in CI pipelines
· Security best practices in DevOps workflows
