Gimlet Labs is seeking a Business Development Lead to drive growth and expand market presence for its AI inference stack, which offers breakthrough performance and a seamless developer experience. This role involves identifying, onboarding, and managing key partnerships and channels for Gimlet's developer cloud and datacenter businesses. The lead will work closely with early customers to refine product offerings, establish repeatable business models, and contribute significantly to the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the AI inference ecosystem and a proven track record in strategic relationship building and complex deal closing.
Good To Have:
  • Deep expertise in the AI inference market.

  • Experience working with early-stage companies or in a startup environment.
Must Have:
  • Identify, onboard, and manage key partnerships aligning with Gimlet's strategic objectives in developer cloud and AI datacenter markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand reach through new and existing channels, including cloud marketplaces and developer tools.
  • Work directly with early customers to understand needs, refine product offerings, and establish repeatable business processes and success stories.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partner management, or strategic alliances with neocloud or AI infrastructure companies.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing complex business deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Gimlet is spun out of a Stanford research project under Professors Zain Asgar and Sachin Katti. The founding team has deep experience across AI, distributed systems, and hardware with previous successful exits.

This individual will be responsible for managing key partnerships and channels for Gimlet's developer cloud and datacenter businesses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the AI inference ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and nurturing strategic relationships. This role involves working closely with early customers to establish repeatable business models and contribute significantly to our growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, onboard, and manage key partnerships that align with Gimlet's strategic objectives in the developer cloud and AI datacenter markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand our reach through new and existing channels, including cloud marketplaces, token aggregators, and developer tools.
  • Work directly with early customers to understand their needs, refine product offerings, and establish repeatable business processes and success stories.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partner management, or strategic alliances with neocloud or AI infrastructure companies.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing complex business deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment.
