Job Summary
The Business Operations Assistant at Nexus Mods provides essential administrative and operational support to the Head of People & Culture and Office Manager. This role ensures smooth daily operations by supporting key workflows across hiring, onboarding, events, people operations, and general office administration. The assistant will take ownership of repeatable processes and balance proactive support with responsive problem-solving.
Must Have
- Support team events and socials from planning through delivery.
- Coordinate hiring and onboarding admin to keep processes running smoothly.
- Step in for Office Manager cover when needed, including front-of-house and day-to-day office logistics.
- Handle routine people operations admin, including benefits and contract support.
- Provide practical, hands-on help for office projects and operational tasks.
- Offer responsive day-to-day support to the Office Manager and Head of People & Culture.
- Confident using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail).
- Comfortable picking up new tools quickly.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a busy office, admin, operations, or coordination role.
- Strong administrative fundamentals with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional, friendly, and discreet (able to handle sensitive information appropriately).
- Comfortable in a reactive, fast-changing role where priorities shift day to day.
- Proactive mindset: spots gaps, anticipates needs, and looks for ways to better support the Office Manager and Head of People & Culture.
- Happy to help with practical tasks such as moving equipment, restocking, and supporting office moves when covering the Office Manager.
Good to Have
- Experience supporting or running events/socials.
- Interest in Nexus Mods and/or gaming culture.
- Previous exposure to people ops/HR admin, talent/hiring support, or office management.

Our Role:
The Business Operations Assistant is an essential part of the Business Services team, providing hands-on administrative and operational support to our Head of People & Culture and Office Manager. This role helps keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly and reliably.
You’ll support key workflows across hiring, onboarding, events/socials, people operations, admin, and office operations - taking ownership of repeatable processes and balancing proactive support with quick, responsive problem-solving as needs arise.
The salary for this position is: £26,000 to £27,000 (depending on experience).
