Job Description

The CH Finance Partner will lead the corporate strategic planning process, developing annual business plans, financial forecasting, and resource allocation strategies. This includes collaboration with the GFS Apac Planning & Forecasting Hub. They will identify, evaluate, and get agreement on trade-offs in resource allocation to meet financial targets, perform financial analysis of business performance for key forums, and partner in managing business P&L. They will oversee COGS performance, develop strategic business cases for commercial and supply chain decisions, drive periodic financial reporting, understand tax trends, and drive simplification across financial processes. The role also involves promoting a strong financial control framework and mentoring finance teams.

Job Details

  • Lead the corporate strategic planning process which includes developing annual business plans, financial forecasting and resource allocation strategies. This also includes working in close collaboration with GFS Apac Planning & Forecasting Hub during CMF/LRP/ABP Calendarization/Standard setting & FLIP cycles.
  • Work through the FD and leadership team, identifies, evaluates, and gets agreement on trade-offs in resource allocation across initiatives across the whole business to ensure that local or regional financial targets are met.
  • Perform structured, data driven and insightful financial analysis around business performance and present them in key business forums such as Monthly Demand Review Meeting (DRM)/P&L Reviews etc.
  • Partner with FD in managing business P&L which includes identifying opportunities, validating, and translating them into actionable strategies whilst keeping a track of any risk & sensitivities and their mitigation plans
  • Oversee actual COGS performance vs PCMF/Plan/LY, analyse trends and work with SC teams in developing any action plans to recover underling cost increases.  
  • Develop strategic business cases to support major commercial and supply chain decisions and carry out post implementation reviews. Carry out structured financial evaluations for planned innovations (i.e. innovation P&Ls, NPV analysis etc) and make relevant reconditions
  • Work in partnership with GFS Apac Close & Control hub in driving periodic financial reporting process for the business which includes GL closing/Financial statement generation in Bison, variance analysis & commentaries /Balance sheet reconciliations and facilitates for external audits & statutory financials etc.
  • Understands trends in taxation and government point of view and uses this knowledge to direct decision making internally. Obtains appropriate local and internal advice. Seeks out effective local external and global internal advice. Ensures that the global tax team are informed of relevant local developments
  • The role has extensive level of adhoc deliverables which are as per the current business needs of the commercial & supply chain.
  • Drive simplification across the financial processes, work practices and increase use of ERP in generating financial & business insights
  • Promote strong financial control framework and good governance and compliance across the business
  • Coach, develop and mentor commercial & supply chain finance teams and ensure appropriate succession plans.
