Job Description

The Country Business Development Manager (CBDM) drives commercial growth and operational excellence across multiple channels and markets. This role leads strategic planning, demand forecasting, distributor management, and team development to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives for Haleon's trusted portfolio of brands.
Must have:
  • Lead the development and execution of plans per country.
  • Build monthly forecasts using key variables.
  • Design annual Building Block proposals and present distributor budgets.
  • Monitor market performance and adjust plans to meet KPIs.
  • Implement growth strategies with current and potential distributors.
  • Conduct field visits to assess channel performance and competitor activity.
  • Align demand and distribution processes for new product launches.
  • Explore new distribution channels (e.g., e-commerce, horeca, airports).
  • Design and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and brand visibility.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with distributors to evaluate brand and SKU performance.
  • Develop tailored campaigns and promotional plans per country and channel.
  • Analyze Market Share data and propose initiatives to improve distribution and demand.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams: Sales, Shopper Marketing, Commercial Analysts.
  • Build strong commercial relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Support internal teams in SOP compliance and third-party management (TPO).
  • Collaborate with O2C to ensure debt collection and financial compliance.
  • Provide insights for pricing strategies and investment allocation.
  • Create contingency plans for market disruptions (demand, supply, SLOBs).
  • Lead contract creation and renewal processes with distributors.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in commercial or business development roles.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and achieving sales/distribution goals.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft tools.
  • Field experience and deep understanding of market channels and nomenclature.
  • Skilled in negotiation, problem-solving, and strategic planning.

The Country Business Development Manager (CBDM) is responsible for driving commercial growth and operational excellence across multiple channels and markets. This role leads strategic planning, demand forecasting, distributor management, and team development to ensure the achievement of sales, profitability, and market share objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of plans per country.
  • Build monthly forecasts using key variables: Sell-Out, Sell-In, Stock in Trade, A&P investments.
  • Design annual Building Block proposals (SI/SO) and present distributor budgets.
  • Monitor market performance and adjust plans to meet KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Bias, etc.).
  • Implement growth strategies with current and potential distributors.
  • Conduct field visits to assess channel performance and competitor activity.
  • Align demand and distribution processes for new product launches.
  • Explore new distribution channels (e.g., e-commerce, horeca, airports).
  • Design and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and brand visibility.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with distributors to evaluate brand and SKU performance.
