Job description
As a primary responsibility, you are to tell engaging stories through interactive dialogues. You will take on multiple roles, acting as a director, cinematographer, and editor all in one. Occasionally, you may even step into the role of an actor, creating your own animations for the dialogue scenes if needed! Working with Unreal Engine 5, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Cinematic Artist, quest designers, and writers to create the most compelling scenes possible. While game development experience is valuable, strong filmmaking skills are of greater importance, and we will provide the necessary training for the tools you need.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the cinematic director to design and implement high-quality interactive dialogue sequences that enhance the player's narrative and emotional engagement.
- Work closely with writers, animators, and other designers to ensure the scenes' cinematic quality and narrative consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cinematic content within the game engine.
- Support the narrative team in integrating dialogue sequences within Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with programmers to develop and refine tools for creating interactive dialogue sequences.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience on similar position in gamedev industry.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, specifically in creating and managing cinematic sequences.
- Strong understanding of cinematic techniques, including camera work, shot composition, and pacing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A passion for video games and a deep understanding of RPG genre conventions.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant work in cinematic design and interactive storytelling.
- Fluent English
