The iCloud Mail, Calendar & Contacts Client Engineering team is seeking a Client Software Engineer to develop exceptional products and user experiences for iCloud Mail across iOS, macOS, and the Web. This role involves crafting user interfaces, client frameworks, and integrating client-device and cloud domains. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining the technology stack, creating new functionality, and building comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests. The ideal candidate thrives on collaboration, writes functional specifications, and prioritizes quality, aiming to create efficient, testable, and maintainable code for a billion users.

The iCloud Mail, Calendar & Contacts Client Engineering team is dedicated to crafting exceptional products and user experiences for iCloud Mail across iOS, macOS, and the Web as well as responsible for developing system level client frameworks. This is an opportunity to join a team with a goal of providing new features and functionality to iCloud customers by integrating together the client-device and cloud domains as well as provide an avenue for exploratory work as needed. Your work will involve everything from building simple-to-use User Interfaces and experiences to Client frameworks with performance and power efficiency in mind. You love collaborating within the team and equally meaningfully, with cross-functional engineering teams. In addition to crafting efficient, testable, easy-to-maintain code, you recognize the importance of writing functional specifications and design documents. As a key member on our team, you are responsible for maintaining our technology stack and for crafting new functionality. You are an extremely capable engineer who has a strong background in building high-performance, extensible systems. The successful applicant will have a strong background in system-level engineering, the vision to create foundational work and build on it to provide functionality, and the drive to successfully see tasks through to completion, Quality is number one in your mind, and you thrive on building comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests, not only for features you build but also for existing features that need more testing.
