Job Description

To lead contract manufacturing operations, focusing on efficient scheduling, material planning, and team communication. To balance supply and demand, manage inventory, and ensure compliance, while driving supplier performance and supporting new product launches to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Must have:
  • Assume Line Manager/People Leadership responsibilities for a Contract Manufacturing Operations team.
  • Develop and implement production schedules for key work centers.
  • Oversee material requirement planning (MRP) for raw and packaging materials.
  • Lead Supply Review Meetings (SRM) and Order Fulfillment Meetings (OFM).
  • Manage material rejections, vendor damages, and write-offs.
  • Direct all planning-related aspects of NPI projects.
  • Report critical supply chain issues and escalate unresolved problems.
  • Balance supply and demand by optimizing inventory.
  • Ensure timely availability of Sub Con Orders from SAP system.
  • Collaborate with Production team to meet daily and monthly targets.
  • Coordinate with Supply, Demand Planning, and CSC Teams.
  • Coordinate with JMS site logistics team for material transfers and customs.
  • Coordinate with Institutional team on scheduling & development of tender orders.
  • Manage actions in CHAMPS/ESCAPE to drive artwork revisions.
  • Administer Master Data for the CMO Site in SAP.
  • Lead the inventory management process to meet global targets.
  • Have knowledge related to import operations, bank contracts/LC, and clearance processes.
  • Coordinate with JMS site and CMO team for month-end activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, Quality, and other related policies.
  • Undertake various tasks as required to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Measure supplier performance and various Key Performance Indicators.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for provision and stock write-offs.
  • Work collaboratively with other Inbound functions to generate the Inbound Schedule.
  • Support self-inspection, problem-solving, and identifying corrective actions to improve performance.

Job Purpose:

To lead contract manufacturing operations, focusing on efficient scheduling, material planning, and team communication. To balance supply and demand, manage inventory, and ensure compliance, while driving supplier performance and supporting new product launches to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume Line Manager/People Leadership responsibilities for a Contract Manufacturing Operations team, ensuring effective process management and standards confirmation across all aspects of Material Scheduling.
  • Develop and implement production schedules for key work centers, focusing on a 0–6-week horizon to ensure optimal production flow and timely delivery.
  • Oversee material requirement planning (MRP) for both local and imported raw and packaging materials, ensuring availability for a 6-month production schedule (MPS).
  • Lead Supply Review Meetings (SRM) and Order Fulfillment Meetings (OFM) with CMO site teams to ensure timely and transparent communication regarding material availability and production status.
  • Manage material rejections, vendor damages, and write-offs, providing monthly reports to Finance and implementing corrective actions to minimize losses.
  • Direct all planning-related aspects of NPI projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and timely product launches.
  • Report critical supply chain issues and escalate unresolved problems to management promptly.
  • Balance supply and demand by optimizing inventory to ensure the timely availability of finished goods as per demand.
  • Ensure the timely availability of Sub Con Orders from the SAP system, considering available capacities and constraints at both sites, with daily and weekly follow-ups on production targets.
  • Collaborate with the Production team to meet daily and monthly targets based on commercial requirements.
  • Coordinate with Supply, Demand Planning, and CSC Teams as needed.
  • Coordinate with JMS site logistics team to ensure timely material transfers from 3P warehouses, material ordering, and custom clearance related to CMO production.
  • Coordinate with the Institutional team on scheduling & development of tender orders as per institutional requirements.
  • Manage actions in CHAMPS/ESCAPE to drive artwork revisions with minimal write-offs.
  • Administer Master Data for the CMO Site in SAP, including BOM extensions, code creation, and functional approvals.
  • Lead the inventory management process to meet global targets, ensuring materials connectivity.
  • Have knowledge related to import operations, bank contracts/LC, and clearance processes.
  • Coordinate with JMS site and CMO team to ensure month-end activities are carried out without any gap.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Quality, and other related policies, guidelines, and requirements as applicable by law and Haleon Corporate Guidelines.
  • Undertake various tasks as required to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Measure supplier performance and various Key Performance Indicators (MERP - On Time in Full), driving performance improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for provision and stock write-offs.
  • Work collaboratively with other Inbound functions to generate the Inbound Schedule.
  • Support self-inspection, problem-solving, and identifying corrective actions to improve performance.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Business Graduate or Engineer (B.E)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with procurement and manufacturing systems
  • Experience with quality and employee health & safety (EHS) standards
  • Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment
  • Supply Chain Management Professional Certification (will be preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills
  • Good working knowledge of Supply Chain & Materials Management processes
