With the expansion of connected cars and services and the intensifying competition in Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) development, strengthening cybersecurity measures has become an urgent priority. Additionally, cybersecurity compliance is being legislated in various countries, making the enhancement of internal systems critical. There is a shortage of skilled personnel within the company in this area, necessitating the recruitment of immediate contributors from outside with knowledge and experience in cybersecurity. Furthermore, global security activities are expanding with international standardization bodies, overseas certification bodies, and overseas suppliers, leading to a shortage of talent with rich international experience.

2. Specific Job Responsibilities and Expected Role/Position within and outside the Department

In the cybersecurity domain for connected cars and services, the role involves: (1) conducting threat analysis and risk assessment of systems, (2) proposing and implementing countermeasures, (3) ensuring regulatory compliance, (4) monitoring vulnerabilities and attacks on vehicles and services launched in the market, (5) leading advanced development of security infrastructure technology for next-generation electronic architectures, and (6) participating in domestic and international standardization bodies.

The team consists of Nissan engineers and partner company employees, with many Nissan engineers being mid-career hires.
