Key Responsibilities

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify the need for new Products either from internal users or FYB Members, research requirements, scope the requirements of the Product, document and submit request for approval to the Software Development Workgroup using the Infiniti form approval process
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the FYB Product Workgroup meetings
  • Creation of new Products as approved through FYB’s Software Development Workgroup approval process
  • Management of the FYB Products including.
    • Ensuring base template code for each Product is securely stored in GitHub
    • Ensuring code for each add-in/connector is version controlled
    • Ensuring code for each add-in/connector has appropriate FYB © Copyright written into it
    • Ensuring FYB Integrations and Development pages are up to date with the latest builds and version information for the Products
  • Undertake research and development to ensure FYB’s Products are world standard and offer innovative, unique and desired functionality to meet Members requirements
  • Liaise with vendors where required for advice and assistance with developing FYB’s Products
  • Understand the OpenText Content Manager back-end technologies and other coding requirements including but not limited to service. Api, web services, .net SDK, .com SDK, html, html5, C#, SQL
PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation for each Product ensuring each Product has the following documentation:
    • Request for Approval for New Product Development (must be completed and approved before developing any new Products)
    • FYB Installation Guide (for internal use only)
    • Specifications Sheet including brief description, details, prerequisites and terms and conditions
    • User Manual and/or Advice Sheet
    • Ensuring the FYB Members Database is updated regularly and correctly details each tool including version that is installed at Members sites
PRODUCT TESTING

  • Ensure all code developed has been tested through via FYB internal processes and the code has been validated
  • Perform load testing of code to ensure to it meets the FYB standard
  • Testing to ensure what was agreed to by the client is being delivered and performed

PRODUCT TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Receive and action all requests for troubleshooting of Products through escalated channels
  • Liaise with Member to troubleshoot the Products ensuring you follow FYB escalation processes
  • Liaise with vendors(s) where required for advice and assistance with troubleshooting Products

PRODUCT PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

  • Develop, update and maintain application development documentation including installation guides, user guides, and coding standard documentation
  • Develop, update and maintain development databases
  • Develop, update and maintain policy and procedures relating to the development of FYB Add-ins and Connectors
  • Implement processes for the management of source code

Skills And Experience

This position requires an applicant with 2+ years’ experience in development and is open to:

  • University graduates
  • 2+ Years’ experience working in the development area
  • Business Analysis skills to help understand business processes and put in place a solution
  • Knowledge skills and experience in the following technologies, frameworks and protocols.
