As a Junior Full-Stack Developer (.NET & MEAN) you will play a crucial role in development, implementation, and support of performant, highly scalable software solutions. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a team following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess an enthusiasm to learn and develop a strong technical skill set.
We will count on you to:
- Perform coding to written Agile stories with unit tests adhering to coding standards and guidelines
- Follow engineering best practices and concepts within your organisation
- Work closely with your peers as a mechanism of continuous improvement
- Contribute towards the design and estimation of new requirements
- Follow good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery
- Build strong relationships with members of your engineering squad
- Work with state-of-the-art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems
- Troubleshoot and resolve software engineering issues
- Provide technical support to clients on existing problems
- Demonstrate an ability towards self-learning and continuous self-improvement
What you need to have:
- A strong passion for software engineering
- The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment
- Some experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of cloud native software architectures
- Knowledge of security tooling such as SAST and DAST
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
Technical Skills or Qualifications Required:
- Good experience working in one or more of the following programming languages and frameworks with in-depth skills in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Typescript, C#
- Good experience in one or more of the following frameworks Angular, NodeJS, Express.JS, .NET, Less(Sass)
- Some experience working with Unit Testing and/or Integration Testing Frameworks is desirable
- Some experience working with an ORM Framework including the use of TSQL and NOSQL databases such as MSSQL and Mongodb
- Some experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Some knowledge of SDLC processes and practices and experience with some or all of Confluence, JIRA, ADO, Github, etc.
- Knowledge of the MEAN or MERN stacks is beneficial but not essential
