Data Engineer/Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to build and maintain data systems and pipelines. You will analyze and organize raw data, build algorithms and prototypes, and collaborate with data scientists to enhance data quality and reliability while supporting business objectives.

• Build algorithms and prototypes

• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Develop analytical tools and programs
• Collaborate with data scientists and architects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (B.E/BTech/MCA/MSC)
• 3-7 years of working experience as ETL/ELT developer or Data Engineer
• Excellent command over SSIS, Azure Data Lakes, Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark for ETL pipelines
• Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, views, functions)
• Hands-on experience with Fivetran, Snowflake
• Experience working with multiple data sources to meet business requirements
• Understanding of data warehouse fundamentals and database modeling
• Experience in designing ETL data flows with version control (preferably Azure DevOps)
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Strong interpersonal skills for working in intercultural environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to MS Excel and macros
• Experience with cloud data integration tools (Airflow, Kubernetes, Fivetran, dbt)
• Azure Data Engineer, Data Analysis, SQL, or Snowflake certifications
