The Data Product Owner will manage the development and delivery of data products and solutions. Key responsibilities include defining product strategy and vision, aligning data product objectives with business goals, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, managing the product backlog, ensuring data quality and governance, working closely with technical teams (data engineers, scientists, analysts), generating insights to inform business strategies, and advocating for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a data-driven environment, strong knowledge of data concepts (data warehousing, ETL, analytics), proficiency with data tools (Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, Power BI), and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Data Product Owner
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to manage the development and delivery of data products and solutions that drive business growth and decision-making. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products. Align data product objectives with overall business goals and priorities. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to create business value and enhance user experience.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define success criteria for data products. Act as the primary point of contact between business users, data engineers, and analytics teams. Effectively communicate data product goals, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Backlog Management: Own and manage the data product backlog, prioritizing features and tasks based on business value and technical feasibility. Write clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and data requirements. Ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and reliable data products on time.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Partner with data governance teams to enforce data quality, security, and compliance standards. Define data product metrics and monitor performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design and implement data solutions. Provide guidance and clarification on business requirements throughout the development lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous delivery of value.
  • Analytics and Insights: Collaborate with analytics teams to generate insights that inform business strategies. Advocate for the use of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a data-driven environment. Proven track record of delivering data products or solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of data concepts, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics.
  • Proficiency with data tools and platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Product Management are a plus.
Work Environment:
Remote/ Travel to client place for any meeting/ workshops.
