Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radiocommunications, resilient network and infrastructure systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is easily accessible by public transport.

Satellite communication systems must meet high levels of requirements, sometimes specific to the defense world (e.g., jamming resistance) while ensuring the best possible performance levels. Thales develops active antenna-based solutions to meet these constraints and needs.

Our main clients are the Ministry of Armed Forces, its equivalent in allied countries, or NATO structures (NCIA). We also count among our clients BITD companies and other entities of the Thales group.

YOUR MISSIONS:

You are responsible for the reference architecture of active antenna-based sub-systems. You ensure its compliance with standards, particularly NATO, regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, as well as the specific needs of defense clients.

You are the PLA (Product Line Architect) for the product line, therefore responsible for the technological choices and the roadmap established based on market needs expressed by the PLM (Product Line Manager).

During the design and production phases, you are responsible for the proper fulfillment of requirements, respecting planning and costs, for specific products and solutions.

You contribute to the development of strategic and technological plans related to the evolution of satellite communication technologies, and evolve the product roadmap by integrating client feedback and new needs, in conjunction with the PLM.

You participate in offers to define the correct positioning of the product range within the systems provided to our clients.

YOUR PROFILE:

You have perfect mastery of product and sub-system architecture principles.

You master satellite communication technologies.

You master technologies related to active antennas and their control electronics.

You are perfectly fluent in English.

Experience in complex system architecture is desirable.

Good knowledge of electromagnetic wave physics is desirable.

Knowledge of jamming and anti-jamming principles is desirable.
