The SOFTSWISS Content Marketing Team is expanding and seeking an experienced Data Protection Specialist. This role ensures compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws by managing data subject requests, communicating with supervisory authorities, and handling personal data breaches. The specialist will also maintain registers for requests and breaches and assist in drafting internal documentation.
Must have:
  • Responding to requests from data subjects
  • Communication with supervisory authorities
  • Handling of personal data breach incidents
  • Maintaining the Register of data subject requests
  • Maintaining the Register of data breaches
  • Involvement in drafting internal documentation
  • Fluency in Russian and English (B2+)
  • Basic understanding of GDPR requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and focus
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory/legal acts
  • Analytical thinking
  • Accept responsibility for actions and behavior
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Strong learning ability
  • Motivation to develop a career in privacy
Good to have:
  • Law degree (preferred)
  • Completed courses in privacy and data protection
  • Understanding of website operations, digital promotion, and online marketing
  • Technical skills, experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence

Overview:

The SOFTSWISS Content Marketing Team continues to expand and is looking for an experienced Data Protection Specialist. We need an accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Purpose of the role:

The Data Protection Specialist ensures compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws and regulations by managing data subject requests, communicating with supervisory authorities, and handling personal data breach incidents.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responding to requests from data subjects
  • Communication with supervisory authorities

Required Experience:

  • Law degree: preferred but not obligatory
  • Fluency in Russian and English (B2+), German will be a plus
