Job Responsibilities

As a core member of the Data Science Group, you will be involved in advanced analysis and strategy formulation for game operations.

• Identifying business challenges and formulating solutions using data.
• Predicting user behavior and optimizing in-game economy using advanced statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Designing and building KPIs aligned with business objectives, and establishing an effective monitoring system.
• Formulating mid-to-long-term data utilization strategies across multiple titles and businesses.
• Managing the analysis team and providing technical guidance.
• Making strategic recommendations to management and various business divisions based on analysis results.

• Practical experience in utilizing advanced statistics, causal inference (including A/B test design, implementation, and evaluation), machine learning, and mathematical optimization for business problem solving.

• Experience in identifying fundamental issues for given problems and deriving solutions from a strategic perspective.
• Experience in involving relevant departments and teams to lead projects to success.

Estimated annual income: 6.41 million JPY to 10.5 million JPY (monthly salary system including deemed fixed overtime pay)

• Monthly: 458,334 JPY to 750,000 JPY
• Base salary: 339,084 JPY to 554,868 JPY
• Deemed fixed overtime allowance: 119,250 JPY to 195,132 JPY
• Bonus: Twice a year (performance-linked bonus)
• Overtime wages for hours exceeding the deemed fixed overtime allowance will be paid additionally.

• Probationary period: Yes (3 to 6 months)
• Working hours: Standard working hours 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (8 hours actual work)
• Work style: Flextime system (core time: 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
• Overtime work: Yes / Company-wide average less than 15 hours (July 2022 - September 2023)
• May vary depending on busy/slack periods.
• Overtime on holidays and late-night overtime after 10:00 PM are generally prohibited.
• Break time: 1 hour between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM
