Job Description
This Data Scientist role within the WeiXin Group (WXG) focuses on ensuring account safety and improving user experience within the WeChat ecosystem. Responsibilities include designing safety processes, analyzing behavioral trends to detect malicious activities, devising strategies to track fraudulent accounts, and deploying and maintaining machine learning models for detection. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have:
- Participate in designing safe processes and managing safety rules to ensure account safety
- Analyse behavioural trends to identify malicious activities and detect anomalies in the WeChat ecosystem
- Devise appropriate strategies to track fraudulent accounts and protect users from spam or fraudulent activity
- Deploy and maintain machine learned models to help detect malicious accounts
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics or similar quantitative field
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience on building machine learning or deep learning solutions
- Good knowledge of Python programming language
- Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin

WeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.

Who We Look For
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of work experience equipped with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics or similar quantitative field
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a way they can easily understand and appreciate.
- Experience on building machine learning or deep learning solutions
- Good knowledge of Python programming language, C/C++/Go programming language is preferred
- Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills, able to translate between business and technical audiences
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin to deal with international stakeholders and stakeholders who are based in HQ
