Job Summary

Apple's WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) team is seeking a Data Scientist to design, create, and implement solutions leveraging store experience and performance data. This role involves building robust, scalable data pipelines and models, applying advanced analytical techniques to uncover insights, and translating complex findings for stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines data engineering depth with data science and analytical problem-solving to drive decision intelligence across the organization.

Must Have

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Applied Analytics, or similar hybrid roles
  • Proven ability to design and optimize data pipelines and datasets for analytics and ML use cases
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience in distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark / Databricks)
  • Experience working with large cross-functional data ecosystems, including data collection, instrumentation, and quality standards
  • Ability to monitor, assess, and improve data quality, including anomaly detection, data validation, and lineage
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize needs across data science, BI, engineering, and product partners into cohesive data strategies

The WW Channel Strategy & Operations (CSO) team focuses on developing and deploying worldwide sales programs and standard methodologies to deliver best customer experience in the Channel, and drive Channel sales. With deep functional expertise in digital, physical and people enablement spaces, WW CSO closely collaborates with many cross-functional teams at both worldwide and regional levels. We are looking for a data scientist to create, design and implement solutions that best leverage CSO’s store experience and performance data to create analytic solutions that will drive decision-making across the WW CSO organization.

We are seeking a technical practitioner who combines data engineering depth with data science and analytical problem-solving to enable high-quality, scalable data capabilities that drive decision intelligence across our organization.

  • Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytical datasets that support reporting, experimentation, and predictive modeling
  • Partner closely with data engineering, product, and business teams to define data requirements, instrumentation, lineage, and data quality standards
  • Apply advanced analytical and modeling techniques to identify trends, uncover insights, and support data-driven decisions
  • Develop reusable frameworks and patterns that integrate data seamlessly into processes, applications, and decision workflows
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling insights for partners and senior leaders
  • Identify key performance drivers and operational signals to surface risks, improvement opportunities, and prioritization levers
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and structured problem solving, from ambiguous business questions to actionable data solutions
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership, while collaborating across cross-functional pods and technical teams
  • Contribute to a culture that values curiosity, technical rigor, elegant simplicity, and shared success

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize needs across data science, BI, engineering, and product partners into cohesive data strategies
  • Strong communication skills — able to adjust messaging for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Highly collaborative and grounded, invested in collective outcomes rather than individual credit
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employees also have the opportunity to become a shareholder through participation in ’s discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in ’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
