As a Manager / Tech Lead for Azure Data Engineering, you will lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure, requiring deep expertise in Azure data services and strong architectural skills. You will guide teams in building scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions and ensuring adherence to best practices in data governance, performance optimization, and compliance.
Must Have
- Lead design and implementation of end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Deep expertise in Azure data services and strong architectural skills.
- Guide teams in building scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms.
- Design and implement data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop scalable and efficient data architectures for large-scale data processing.
- Ensure high performance, security, and compliance within Azure data solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate Azure services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory).
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Optimize cloud-based data infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Implement data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages (SQL, Python, Scala) and RDBMS platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for data engineering projects.
- Design and manage distributed data processing for big data batch or streaming pipelines.
- Perform data modeling and convert OLTP structures into Star Schema.
- 6-9 years of experience in data engineering and architecture.
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, Databricks, Unity Catalog).
- Strong understanding of lakehouse and warehouse architectures.
- Experience in data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Good to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with DBT.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).

This role requires deep expertise in Azure data services, strong architectural skills, and the ability to guide teams in building scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions and ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, performance optimization, and compliance. Roles and Responsibilities: · Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes. · Develop scalable and efficient data architectures to support large-scale data processing and analytics workloads. · Ensure high performance, security, and compliance within Azure data solutions. · Evaluate and select appropriate Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks (including configuration and cost optimization), Unity Catalog, and Azure Data Factory. · Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams implementing data engineering solutions. · Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to align data architectures with business goals. · Optimize cloud-based data infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. · Monitor and troubleshoot performance and availability issues in Azure-based data solutions. · Implement data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements. · Work closely with business and technical teams to translate data needs into architecture solutions. · Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable. · Hands-on experience with programming languages (SQL, Python, Scala) and RDBMS platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle).
