Job Summary
The Data Transformation Analyst II position at S&P Global is within the EDO Upstream oil and gas well data operations team, focusing on Content Customer Success & Data Quality. The role involves proactive management of operations, ensuring high data quality, and providing client support. Key responsibilities include performing QA for upstream well data, auditing collected data, identifying procedural gaps, and contributing to process improvements and automation projects. The analyst will also track client data usage and errors to guide sampling efforts, ultimately enhancing client experience and data integrity for critical business and financial decisions.
Must Have
- Perform accuracy check on various data points collected by data collection teams.
- Analyze error trends and root causes of opportunity areas.
- Identify procedural gaps and data inconsistencies, and work with content team to improve them.
- Troubleshoot problems or issues and provide support to the team.
- Actively track client data usage and errors to drive the focus of the sampling team.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in oil and gas operations.
- Hands-on experience in data capturing and quality checks.
- Good understanding of oil and gas well data operations & Excel Plugins.
- Exposure working on department level projects with clearly defined deliverables.
- Good understanding of Enerdaq, ECMI, Udmfct factory, spark production & state agency websites.

About the Role:

The Team: The current position is with EDO Upstream oil and gas well data operations for Content Customer Success & Data Quality team. Mission of the team is to become a trusted partner of content teams to drive improvements in data quality so our clients can make business and financial decisions with conviction. This role requires a proactive approach to managing operations, ensuring data quality, and providing exceptional client support.
The Impact:
- Enhance client experience.
- Assist in providing high quality information by identifying gaps in collection process.
- Collaborate closely with the manager to understand leadership priorities and align operational plans accordingly.
- Work with the Data Quality team to enhance data quality by providing technical oversight on data entered by in-house & vendor partners.
- Develop a strong understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics, ensuring quality control and operational oversight of vendor operations.

- Strong understanding of oil and gas terminology.
- Proven expertise of existing data-set.
- Analytical mindset and strong in logical reasoning
- Strong written and verbal Communication
- Strong desire for upskilling
- Skills required- knowledge of Gen AI tools & Prompting, Oracle-SQL, knowledge on data extraction tools
Basic Qualifications:
- Individuals have minimum 3+ years of experience in oil and gas operations
- Hands-on experience in data capturing and quality checks
- Good understanding of the oil and gas well data operations & Excel Plugins
- Should have exposure working on some department level projects and clearly define the deliverables
- Good understanding of the Enerdaq, ECMI, Udmfct factory, spark production & state agency websites
