Senior Engineer Business Intelligence and Analytics (f/m/div)

As a Senior Engineer Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will transform complex data into actionable insights and create cutting-edge solutions. Your role involves providing 3rd Level Support and Application/Platform Lifecycle Management for Production Datawarehouse & Reporting Solutions, continuously enhancing these platforms using technologies like Oracle, Hadoop, and Denodo. You will define, design, build, and enhance business intelligence solutions, partner with stakeholders for service delivery, ensure effective monitoring and support, and manage incidents and problems for internal customers.

Must Have

• Provide 3rd Level Support for Production Datawarehouse & Reporting Solutions
• Manage Application/Platform Lifecycle for Production Datawarehouse & Reporting Solutions
• Enhance Production Reporting Platforms using Oracle, Hadoop, Denodo
• Design and build business intelligence solutions
• Experience with ETL, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL (Oracle), and MS SQL Database
• Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Impala, HIVE)
• 3-5 years of experience in IT/Business Intelligence
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Good communication skills in German and English
• Valid work permit for Austria or EU citizenship

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Provide 3rd Level Support and Application/Platform Lifecycle Management in the area of Production Datawarehouse & Reporting Solutions
• Continuously enhance our Production Reporting Platforms using various technologies (Oracle, Hadoop, Denodo, ...)
• Define, design, build and enhance business intelligence solutions
• Partner up with management, application owner, key business customer and team members for the delivery of regional / global services
• Ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery
• Do Incident and Problem Management to support our internal customers

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
• 3-5 years of work experience in the area of Information Technology/Business Intelligence
• Understanding of ETL technique, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle and know-how in MS SQL Database
• Experience with Big Data platforms/development (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Impala, HIVE)
• Experience in data warehousing projects (as an advantage)
• Good analytical troubleshooting, problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills in German and English

We are filling this position through one of our leasing partners. A valid work permit for Austria (RWR+ Card) or EU citizenship is a prerequisite for this position. This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees of EEI with a minimum salary of € 3.775,27 (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
