Job Summary
Join ByteDance's database development team to build and own cutting-edge database products for global infrastructure, including relational, distributed caches, and NoSQL databases. You will partner with PMs and engineers to design and develop cloud data transmission solutions, conduct performance tests, implement comprehensive unit, functional, and system tests, participate in deployment, debug defects, and solve complex cloud infrastructure problems. This role offers exposure to AI application systems and advanced hardware infrastructure.
Must Have
- Partner with PMs and engineers on building data transmission products
- Design and development of cloud solutions
- Conduct performance and scalability tests
- Design and implement comprehensive unit, functional and system-test
- Participate in the release and deployment process
- Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects
- Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex cloud infrastructure problems
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation
- Bachelor/Master degree in computer-related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Software development
- Proficiency in Golang, Python, C++, etc.
- Good coding practices, refactoring skills, unit testing experience
- Familiar with relational, NoSQL, analytical, document, and vector databases
- Familiar with database data replication mechanisms

- Experience with database kernel/middleware/management platform (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongodb, HBase, Clickhouse)
- Familiarity with database log capture and analysis, message queue, ETL

Responsibilities - Partner with PMs and engineers from different teams on building data transmission products. - Design and development of cloud solutions according to demand scenario. - Conduct performance and scalability tests and research innovative ideas for improvement. - Design and implement comprehensive unit, functional and system-test for product quality. - Participate in the release and deployment process. - Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects. - Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex cloud infrastructure problems. - Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to keep services operational and highly available.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor/Master degree in computer-related fields. - Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Software development field. - Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Golang, Python, C++, etc. - Demonstrated good coding practices, including code cleanliness, refactoring skills, and experience with unit testing. - Familiar with one or more databases, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytical databases, document databases, and vector databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongodb, Redis, Clickhouse, Cockroachdb, Tidb, Oceanbase, etc Familiar with database data replication mechanisms Preferred Qualifications - Experience with database kernel/database middleware/database management platform experience is preferred. (Commonly used databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongodb, HBase, Clickhouse, etc.). - Familiarity with database log capture and analysis, message queue, ETL and other data processing technologies are preferred. - Strong motivation for technology, good communication skills and teamwork spirit, excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills are preferred.
