Job Description

As a Deal Desk Advisor at Bazaarvoice, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial terms for service orders and main services agreements for new and existing customers. You will act as a commercial expert, partnering with sales teams to structure deals, advise on CPQ quoting, discounting, and pricing, and ensure compliance with internal policies. This role also involves coaching sales teams on processes and tools, contributing to a team focused on being true commercial advisors.
Must have:
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial terms for sales orders, main services agreements, service agreements, statements of work, amendments and other agreements as necessary both within and outside of a CPQ environment.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation to finance and sales management of contractual rights, obligations, risk assessment and clarification on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure contract terms are compliant with the relevant business requirements (e.g. discounting or concession approvals, service terms, revenue recognition rules).
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial terms for SAAS agreements, service agreements, software license agreements, statements of work and amendments, or similar.
  • High energy professional who is passionate about helping our sales teams close deals with our vast array of clients ranging from small SMB to some of the worlds largest Enterprise clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.

As our Deal Desk Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial terms for service orders, including exhibits, appendices, statements of work and service order amendments as well as main services agreements for both new and existing customers.

You will be the commercial expert teaming with the sales Divisional Vice President and their sales reps to advise on how to structure and win the right deal for Bazaarvoice and our customer.

You will be the CPQ quoting expert, assisting the sales teams in configuring quotes, discounting, pricing, advising on the approval process and ensuring the appropriate approvals are obtained for any deviations to standard business.

Your experience and expertise will be leveraged by the Global Deal Desk Director and Deal Desk Manager to advise on unique contracting requirements for the specific region you will be supporting.

This role also includes a component of coaching and enablement for our sales team to ensure alignment and consistency in following all Bazaarvoice internal policies and supporting processes, as well as how to best navigate and utilize our Salesforce and CPQ tools to maximize automation and efficiency across the organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial terms for sales orders, main services agreements, service agreements, statements of work, amendments and other agreements as necessary both within and outside of a CPQ environment.
  • Assist with the development and evolution of agreement templates and language as we expand and adapt to the changing needs of our business.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation to finance and sales management of contractual rights, obligations, risk assessment and clarification on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure contract terms are compliant with the relevant business requirements (e.g. discounting or concession approvals, service terms, revenue recognition rules).
  • Develop training materials, sales order form examples and conduct regular contract training sessions.

Necessary Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial terms for SAAS agreements, service agreements, software license agreements, statements of work and amendments, or similar.
  • Experience using Salesforce and CPQ preferred. Experience with other CRM and CPQ tools will be considered.
  • High energy professional who is passionate about helping our sales teams close deals with our vast array of clients ranging from small SMB to some of the worlds largest Enterprise clients.
