Job Description

The Field Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining customer contacts within an assigned territory or area of responsibility. They work under general direction, exercising discretion and judgment on work priority regularly, with a certain degree of creativity expected. This role involves running Product Knowledge (PK) events, assisting with project material lists, handling product technical calls, and generating new leads through various channels. The specialist will also visit contractors and stores according to a schedule and prepare required reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in telephone and office etiquette

The Field Specialist is responsible for developing and

Works under general direction; exercises discretion and
judgment on work priority on a regular basis; and certain
degree of creativity is expected.

Runs Product Knowledge (PK) events with Stores and Contractors at
retail locations and in the field.
· Works with stores and Contractors to generate needed project
material lists.
· Fields product technical calls from stores and contractors.
· Passes leads to Account Managers and assists in the sales process
when needed.
· Generates new leads by introducing and promoting new products
and services.
· Generates new leads through the store Special Orders program.
· Visits Contractors and Stores in accordance with proposal
schedule.
· Prepares various reports and correspondence as required

Skills and abilities:

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking.

  • Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public.

  • Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette
