Job Description

We are looking for a Design Engineer 3- Powertrain Emission Test Engineer to join our team in Mexico Headquarters - Mexico City. This role involves conducting emission certifications for alliance vehicles for Mexico and Latin American markets, ensuring strong regulatory knowledge. The engineer will maintain ISO 17025 certification and PROFEPA accreditation, keep test equipment in good condition through regular maintenance, and focus on meeting internal/external performance targets while complying with current and upcoming regulations.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge on ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Knowledge on powertrain control development.
Must Have:
  • Perform system development and diagnosis calibration work.
  • Perform emission testing in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct maintenance on test equipment according to supplier recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Keep and maintain the quality system established ISO 17025.
  • Communicate effectively with Homologation department and Government Affairs.
  • Perform analysis of data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations.
  • Support manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams for powertrain matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Commercial areas.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Mexico City.
  • Valid driver license.

We are currently looking for a Design Engineer 3- Powertrain Emission Test Engineer to join our team in Mexico Headquarters - México City. Will be responsible to conduct emission certifications for alliance vehicles for Mexico and Lam Market, strong regulation knowledge for markets that Nissan export (Mexico and Latin America), maintain the ISO 17025 certification with EMA and preserve PROFEPA accreditation, keep in good condition the of test equipment with weekly and monthly maintenance. The Engineer will be focused to meet all internal/external performance target setting and at same time with compliance of current and upcoming regulations.

A Day in the Life:

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for performing system development and diagnosis calibration work.
  • Perform emission testing in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct maintenance on test equipment according to the supplier's recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing within test and engineering team.
  • Keep and maintain the quality system established ISO 17025.
  • Effective communication with Homologation department and Government Affairs.
  • Perform analysis of data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations to various internal technical teams.
  • Support manufacturing plants and actively participating at cross-functional team for solving powertrain-related matters.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Commercial areas. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses.
  • Leadership & experience in project management skills such as time, resource and communication management.
  • Computer Skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. (Business Fluent)
  • Ability to perform work onsite at México City.
  • Valid driver license

Desired:

  • Knowledge on ISO 17025 accreditation, powertrain control development.
