Job Summary
As a System Verification Engineer at Cadence, you will ensure product quality and reliability by defining and executing verification strategies. This involves designing and running system-level tests, developing internal tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to the preparation and delivery of mixed Hardware/Software products, analyze coverage metrics, and drive continuous improvement in verification methods and product delivery processes.
Must Have
- Contribute to the preparation, review, and delivery of mixed Hardware / Software products
- Analyse coverage metrics, identify verification and quality gaps, report non-conformities, and track corrective actions
- Write system test plans aligned with product requirements
- Develop, execute, and document system test cases (FPGA boards and simulation testbenches)
- Build and maintain internal tools related to system verification (CI/CD pipelines, traceability tools, packaging script, verification scripts and frameworks)
- Participate in technical reviews and project meetings with Hardware, Software, Project Management, and Integration teams
- Participate in customer support activities through ticketing system and meetings
- Produce and maintain internal documentation, including knowledge-sharing content, presentations, and wiki pages
- Report progress through JIRA, timesheets, and weekly activity updates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing verification methods, packaging workflows, and product delivery processes
- Master’s degree (Master 2 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics, or Microelectronics
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in embedded systems, verification, or related technical fields
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken
- C programming skills (including Makefiles compilation and unit testing)
- Embedded C development on microcontroller and/or SoC FPGA targets (cross-compilation, bare-metal or embedded OS, debugging)
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting
- Comfortable working in Linux environments (CLI terminal, shell, bash)
- Hands-on experience with embedded software/firmware testing and validation
- Practical experience with Git or other version control systems
- Understanding of RTL design principles
Good to Have
- Experience with RTL design (VHDL/Verilog), IP development, and testbench creation is a plus
- Familiarity with FPGA tools and workflows (Vivado, Quartus, synthesis, simulation) is a plus
- Practical experience with simulation tools (VCS, ModelSim, Xcelium) is a plus
- Reliability – Able to consistently deliver quality work and meet deadlines
- Adaptability – Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adjusting to evolving priorities
- Commitment – Strong sense of ownership and dedication to project success
- Communication – Clear and effective in both written and verbal exchanges, including cross-functional collaboration

Job Overview:

You will design and run system-level tests, develop internal tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement throughout the verification process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the preparation, review, and delivery of mixed Hardware / Software products (iSE, CryptoSolution, Cryptographic IPs, ...etc)
- Analyse coverage metrics, identify verification and quality gaps, report non-conformities, and track corrective actions through ticketing system
- Write system test plans aligned with product requirements
- Develop, execute, and document system test cases (FPGA boards and simulation testbenches) to maximize functional coverage and code coverage
- Build and maintain internal tools related to system verification (including CI/CD pipelines, traceability tools, packaging script, verification scripts and frameworks, ...)
- Participate in technical reviews and project meetings with Hardware, Software, Project Management, and Integration teams to ensure alignment and technical coherence
- Participate in customer support activities through ticketing system and meetings
- Produce and maintain internal documentation, including knowledge-sharing content, presentations, and wiki pages
- Report progress through JIRA, timesheets, and weekly activity updates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing verification methods, packaging workflows, and product delivery processes
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree (Master 2 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics, or Microelectronics.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in embedded systems, verification, or related technical fields.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
- C programming skills (including Makefiles compilation and unit testing)

- The candidate will join a team of several people based in the Oujda, Morocco office and will interact regularly with other team members, including their manager located in France
