Job Description

QUALCOMM is the world's leading developer of next-generation wireless and multimedia technology. We are searching for an ASIC design verification engineer interested in developing world-class solutions for the next generation of AI/ML HW IP. The role requires strong analytical and debugging skills, proficiency in C/C++, OOP concepts, and experience with hardware verification and description languages like SystemVerilog (UVM), SystemC, and Verilog. The engineer will contribute to innovative AI/ML hardware IP development.
Good To Have:
  • Prior experience delivering Verilog and/or System Verilog RTL
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and specification skills
  • Working experience with Clock domain crossing and reset architecture
  • Working experience with Machine Learning HW development
  • Working experience with FIFOs implementation
  • Working experience with Bus implementation/verification techniques
  • Working experience with Memory selection and control
  • Working experience with High speed and low power design optimization
  • Working experience with Bus interface protocols (AHB, AXI)
  • Experience with simulation and code coverage tools (VCS, Verdi, Modeltech/Questa, or Xcelium)
  • Experience with Design rule and CDC checking (SVA assertions, Spyglass, 0-in, etc.)
  • Experience with Scripting languages (PERL, Python, TCL, C, etc.)
  • Experience with Power Intent and Analysis: UPF, CLP, PTPX, PowerPro
  • Experience with Synthesis: DCG/NXT, FC
  • Experience with Static Timing: Primetime
  • Experience with Formal Verification: Conformal, Formality
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following disciplines: Display (Pixel processing/composition/compression, MIPI DSI, DisplayPort, HDMI etc.), Bus/interconnect (AHB, AXI)
Must Have:

  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits and event-driven simulators
  • Knowledge of Perl, Python, TCL, tcsh, and GNU Make
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and able to plan and prioritize tasks effectively

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills

  • Hardware description languages (HDL): Verilog and SystemVerilog

  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits and event-driven simulators

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to convey complex information to peers.
  • Detailed oriented and be able to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
