Job Summary

The Motorola Solutions' Device Management team specializes in delivering world-class software applications for managing fleets of two-way communication devices. This co-op role involves developing and testing enterprise-level, Windows-based applications using C#/.NET4.6, WPF, WCF frameworks, Java, and SQL DB operations. The position also includes responsibilities such as teamwork in a global environment, finding and repairing software defects, performing system integration, and analyzing, designing, and maintaining software.

Must Have

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Graduation date must occur on or after May 2025
  • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students)
  • Ability to develop and test enterprise-level, Windows-based applications
  • Experience with C#/.NET4.6
  • Familiarity with WPF and WCF frameworks
  • Knowledge of Java
  • Experience with SQL DB operations
  • Ability to find, track, and repair device software defects
  • Ability to perform system integration of software and hardware

The Motorola Solutions' Device Management team specializes in the fulfillment of world class software applications for managing fleets of end user two-way communications devices for public safety, commercial and consumer markets.

Job Description

The co-op student will be responsible for developing and testing enterprise level, Windows based applications. These are applications written in C#/.NET4.6 on both the client & server side with WPF, WCF frameworks, with the addition of Java and SQL DB operations, and a roadmap directing it towards cloud & WEB services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment.
  • Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects.
  • Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
  • Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems.
  • Develops, validates, and tests: structures and user documentation

Basic Requirements

  • Candidate's Graduation date must occur on or after May 2025.
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
