Job Description
Operations Manager
We are launching a new joint venture: a non-clearing Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) designed to democratize access to financial markets. We are building a new asset class from the ground up. As an Operations Manager, you won’t just be managing a team; you will be defining the operational playbook for a platform that allows millions of customers to trade new contracts. We need a leader with a "founder’s mentality" to set the standards, drive the roadmap, and bridge the gap between institutional finance and consumer tech.
What You’ll Do
- Master and manage the end-to-end FCM infrastructure—from account onboarding and trade submission workflows to margin services and end-of-day settlement.
- Define the "Gold Standard" for operational excellence. You will lead the team in handling secondary-level escalations and complex problem-solving.
- Act as the voice of the operation; synthesize customer feedback and internal data to document, prioritize, and champion enhancement requests that shape the product roadmap.
- Build and sustain high-impact relationships with stakeholders across Compliance, Technology, Product, and Risk to ensure the FCM remains agile and compliant.
- Move beyond "business as usual." actively discover inefficiencies in current processes and lead internal projects to automate workflows and improve the customer experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial operations, with a deep understanding of the trade lifecycle, post-execution workflows, clearing, and settlement.
- A self-motivated drive with the ability to work autonomously and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
- Strong quantitative and organizational skills to dissect complex operational data and make evidence-based recommendations for process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required
- Familiarity with FCM platforms or trading infrastructure is a distinct advantage.
What You’ll Get
- The unique opportunity to help build, launch, and run a brand-new FCM within the safety and scale of CME Group.
- A supportive environment fostering career progression, continuous learning, and an inclusive culture.
- A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Learn more about our career opportunities here.
