Omitron Inc. is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support software projects. Responsibilities include designing and implementing DevOps infrastructure, building CI/CD pipelines, managing toolsets, collaborating with developers, supporting agile processes, and championing DevOps methodologies. Good To Have:

Omitron Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support multiple critical software development projects from our Colorado Springs, CO, office in a hybrid capacity. You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and advancing robust DevOps pipelines and development infrastructure, primarily across AWS GovCloud, On-Prem Hardware, and other secure environments. This position requires experience with automation, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling to ensure consistent delivery and system reliability across programs.
 
You’ll play a hands-on role in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing repositories and DevOps tools, including GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, and related CI/CD integrations within AWS. This is an opportunity to join a flexible, agile-oriented team working on high-impact defense and aerospace systems.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and support DevOps infrastructure for multiple ongoing development efforts.
  • Build and manage secure CI/CD pipelines in AWS GovCloud.
  • Maintain and configure DevOps toolsets (GitLab, SonarQube, Nexus, Jenkins, etc.) and associated integrations.
  • Collaborate with software developers and leadership to evolve DevOps practices across multiple projects.
  • Support agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Champion DevOps methodologies to enable cross-team efficiency and automation.
  • Design and define cloud system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
  • Build and manage servers in cloud environments and contribute to cloud infrastructure management.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained and updated.
  • Contribute to cloud/server/network/storage implementation and support within secure environments.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years with Master’s).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Hands-on experience with Git-based version control.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working knowledge of code quality and security tools (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube).
  • Ability to operate in AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud/on-prem environments.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure implementation and management (servers, networking, storage).
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
  • Experience supporting DevOps in a hyperconverged environment.
  • Security+ certification or other DoD 8570-compliant certifications.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to drive best practices in a multi-project setting.
  
Compensation & Benefits:
  • The salary range for this role is $125,000 – $150,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
