Job Summary

Job Description

The DevOps Engineer SME will design, implement, and manage GCP cloud infrastructure, develop and maintain automation using Ansible, and build CI/CD pipelines. This role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline deployments, troubleshoot issues, and implement monitoring solutions. The engineer will also mentor junior staff and ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud applications.

Must have:

Design, implement, and manage GCP cloud infrastructure with best practices in mind.
Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible for maintaining resources/codes/changes.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support software development and deployment cycles.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline and automate application deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and cloud environments.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
4+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with strong knowledge of CI/CD and automations.
Expertise in Ansible configuration management.
Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps(must have)).
Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK stack).
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, KMS, VPC, etc.).
Good understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Ability to write and debug scripts (Bash, Python, Groovy or similar).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Hands on experience on Azure DevOps, CI/CD management, Role definitions is mandatory.
Hands on experience on K8s and docker is a must.

Good to have:

Containerizing & Clustering: Compose, Docker, Dockerfiles, ECS, Helm, Kubernetes, Nginx, HAProxy.
Experience with Open-Source Database such as Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL.
Hands on experience on caching data bases like Redis, Hazelcast.
Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
