DevOps Engineer ČSOB (M/F)

ČSOB is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to be a key player in project delivery. You will collaborate with architects, security engineers, senior developers, and agile teams to shape solutions, focusing on full utilization of technological components and automated CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities include ensuring data confidentiality and security, L2 (24/7) administration and operation of applications on PaaS and IaaS, managing application servers, deploying changes, and monitoring. You will also handle root cause analysis, incident management, and patch management.

Must Have

• Forming solutions with architects, security engineers, senior developers, and agile teams
• Ensuring data confidentiality and security in IT deliveries
• Providing L2 (24/7) administration and operation of applications on PaaS and IaaS
• Managing and configuring the application layer
• Administering application servers and deploying application changes
• Monitoring applications and overseeing their operation for SLA adherence
• Performing Root cause analysis, Incident management, and patch management
• Knowledge of OS Linux application platforms (JBOSS, Tomcat)
• Proficiency in scripting (Powershell, Python, Bash) in Windows and Linux OS
• Experience with Python, Javascript, Java development
• Experience with Springboot applications
• Experience with database management, SQL and PL/SQL scripting
• Experience with source code version control (Git, GitLab, GitHub)
• Experience with CI/CD development
• Good understanding of containerization (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of data center management, system and monitoring management, networking and security
• Good knowledge of networks and basic internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP)
• Experience with automation/configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, and/or Chef)
• Experience with L2 or L3 application support
• Familiarity with monitoring concepts and tools (Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, Dynatrace or Prometheus)
• Experience with cloud architectures, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• English language proficiency (min. B2 level)

What will a working day with us be like?

ČSOB is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer who will be one of the key players in the delivery of ČSOB projects. You will be involved from the beginning in shaping solutions in cooperation with architects, security engineers, senior developers and, last but not least, with the supplier's agile team. You will not be alone but surrounded by a close team of specialists. Our goal is the full utilization of available technological components and fully automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Your responsibilities will, however, go beyond the boundaries of the technologies themselves, as data confidentiality and their security are an inseparable part of IT deliveries. Therefore, we need you to ensure that project designs are in compliance and that you explain and instruct colleagues on how these controls are implemented.
• At the same time, for the entrusted applications, you will ensure their administration and operation at the L2 (24/7) level operated on PaaS and IaaS, including the management and configuration of the application layer. You will not avoid managing application servers and deploying application changes. A matter of course is application monitoring and supervision of their operation for quality provision of services within defined SLAs.
• Root cause analysis, Incident management, patch management are not unknown concepts to you.

Technical requirements

The basic monthly salary ranges from 2500 € gross. The final salary depends on previous experience, seniority in the desired area and professional knowledge.
