The Public Cloud Architect (AWS specialist) analyzes, recommends, and selects optimal cloud solutions to maximize the organization's production capacity and operational efficiency. With in-depth expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture, this role defines cloud resource budgets and is responsible for the performance, security, and scalability of the cloud platform. Supporting both new and existing cloud initiatives, the architect designs reference architectures and defines best practices for development and operations teams.
Must Have

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Public Cloud Architect (AWS specialist) analyzes, recommends, and selects optimal cloud solutions to maximize the organization's production capacity and operational efficiency. With in-depth expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture, this role defines cloud resource budgets and is responsible for the performance, security, and scalability of the cloud platform. By supporting both new and existing cloud initiatives, the architect designs reference architectures and defines best practices for development and operations teams.
You will work within the architecture team, composed of 16 architects with multiple skills, including 2 other architects, and in close collaboration with the cloud operations team, composed of 5 Dev-Net-Ops.
Responsibilities
- Define the technological vision and drive the design of new cloud-native solutions, features, and tools when existing options do not meet project needs.
- Determine the necessary evolutions of infrastructure and AWS services to meet project requirements and ensure their feasibility.
- Ensure the consistency, efficiency, scalability, modularity, and compatibility of cloud solutions developed by the team.
- Analyze and resolve engineering issues related to AWS services, cloud tools, and middlewares.
- Collaborate with technical management and stakeholders to communicate cloud constraints, opportunities, and best practices to guide production choices.
- Define and implement measures to ensure optimal cloud performance, including costs, latency, reliability, and security.
- Act as a point of contact for all technical questions related to AWS architecture and tools.
- Ensure that project teams (development, operations, security, etc.) have the necessary cloud resources and tools to produce and manage content efficiently.
- Evaluate existing AWS services and third-party cloud tools to identify their strengths and weaknesses, then recommend those that best meet project objectives and expectations.
- Anticipate technological evolutions in cloud computing, understand the impact of new AWS features and services, and implement systems capable of supporting them.
- Write documentation related to cloud architecture, AWS services, and tools, for reference or future use.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior cloud professional with experience in operating and evolving complex and large-scale infrastructures, including multi-account, multi-region, and high-availability environments.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and platform engineering, with a strong focus on reliability, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Proven experience in cloud enablement and governance, including defining standards, guardrails, best practices, and supporting teams in their adoption.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, or commitment to obtain them.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to handle complex issues, synthesize information, and make technical concepts accessible to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Autonomous and adaptable contributor, comfortable driving change in dynamic environments, collaborating with diverse teams and leadership levels, and evolving in agile delivery models.
