Job Summary
Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for chip and display production, enabling technologies like AI and IoT. This role involves taking full end-to-end ownership of DevOps tasks, collaborating with development teams to design, implement, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. The lead will make key technical decisions and build robust DevOps infrastructure to support large-scale systems, contributing to the advancement of world technology.
Must Have
- 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer supporting enterprise-scale CI/CD tooling.
- Strong proficiency with containerized and virtualized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Advanced knowledge of Helm chart development, including templating, configuration, dependencies, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash & PowerShell).
- Experience with build systems like Gradle & Maven.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, JFrog, SonarQube.
- Ability to create documentation, maintenance procedures, and infrastructure testing scripts.
- Skilled in issue analysis, RCA documentation, and escalation via ticketing systems.
- Strong experience in Linux administration and networking.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, works under pressure, and consistently delivers projects within deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Good to Have
- Experience with system monitoring and centralized logging platforms (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Experience in utilizing the GenAI tools.
- Understanding of databases such as Elastic, Mongo, MariaDB.
