Job Summary

Applied Materials is seeking a highly talented Construction Project Manager to join their Facilities team in Rehovot, Israel. This role involves managing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. Key responsibilities include leading design reviews, developing project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing the world's technology by supporting the physical infrastructure of a global leader in materials engineering solutions.

Must Have

  • Manage and oversee construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and quality delivery.
  • Lead design review meetings with external consultants, from concept to final design approval.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and manage project budgets.
  • Ensure alignment of projects with business objectives and requirements, providing regular reports to management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Review and approve project design documents, plans, and specifications for compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are within approved limits and identifying cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

Our Group : the facilities team

Providing world class work environment services, our Facilities group consists of professional managers and service providers that are constantly growing in numbers and in scale.

The facilities team is responsible for managing the physical infrastructure and facilities of the company. We are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of buildings, equipment, and systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage and oversee construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead design review meetings with external consultants, from concept to final design approval.
  • Develop project plans and schedules, identifying and mitigating risks, and managing project budgets.
  • Ensure alignment of projects with business objectives and requirements by project progress and provide regular reports to management on project status, risks etc.
  • Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Review and approve project design documents, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within approved limits, and identifying cost savings opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

What you should have?

  • A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing construction projects.
  • Strong project management capabilities including overseeing budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • A comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and legal requirements pertinent to construction projects.
  • Experience in supplier management and procurement processes, including bidding and negotiation.
  • Full proficiency in English
  • Experience in MS Project, other core project planning tools, and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • AutoCAD , BIM and ACC platform Knowledge - advantage
  • Familiar with construction price lists (e.g., “Dekel/Ramdor”) - advantage.
