We are looking for a highly technical DevOps Manager to lead and develop our Platform Engineering teams, located in our Rehovot Office. This is a mixed team of SRE’s and Infrastructure Engineers, who closely align to DevOps principals. Your responsibility will be to drive innovation, scale our platforms, and create operational excellence for the Imperva globally distributed network. The person taking this role will have the freedom to make decisions that will have a significant impact on Imperva’s infrastructure and how we serve our customers.
 
As a DevOps Manager in the ICO organization, you will improve your team's approach to solving problems, supporting and optimizing the infrastructure programmatically.  You will work with your team to
improve the overall availability, reliability, performance, and security of the infrastructure under your management. This is very much a hands-on role, you will be expected to be in the weeds with your team, working collaboratively on projects and systems. You will need to develop a deep technical understanding of our systems and help grow and mentor your team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, a team of diverse engineers in multiple, global, locations.

• Work collaboratively with your team to plan their  work and ensure  that everyone knows what they should be working on.

• Work with teams across Imperva and the wider Thales Business Unit to ensure we are providing services and tools that they need.

•  Work with the Imperva PMO to plan and execute projects.

• Apply SRE & DevOps principles to eliminate toil and improve reliability.

• Work cross functionally as needed to troubleshoot and resolve business affecting issues.

• Respond to escalations, help with incident response, RCA’s, provide management of and follow up from postmortems.

•  Establish metrics for data-driven decisions to help , and velocity.
   
   
  Requirements:

• At least 7 years of professional experience, at last 2 years within a leadership role in a cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure.

• Experience with Python and Go. C/C++/Rust a plus.

• Expert-level knowledge of Linux systems, network protocols, experience with BGP and anycast routing is a plus.

• Experience with DevOps principles and concepts such as Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Salt stack), CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins, Git), monitoring and visualization (Prometheus, Grafana).

• Experience with big data technologies such as NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka.

• Experience with containers and container management (Docker, Kubernetes).

•  Experience analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, UI visualization.

• Experience in developing software, troubleshooting, and monitoring large scale distributed systems.

• Implement modern software engineering best practices/standards and adhere/maintain software development life cycle.

•  Working knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodologies.

•  Outstanding collaboration and communication, and documentation skills with a proven ability to work cross-functionally to establish and meet OKRs.

•  BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.

• Experience managing a team of Engineers, with a broad spectrum of experience, in multiple locations and time zones globally.
