Director, Data Platforms Product & Engineering Risk

ROLE PROFILE:

Data Platforms is an exciting collective of teams spanning product and engineering teams. This unique role is integral to cultivating a truly back to front risk culture, driving leadership and teams to collaboratively and consciously assume advantageous risk positions in pursuit of an ambitious strategy.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Own both Product and Engineering risk processes, ensuring teams understand LSEG's risk requirements and the benefits of effective risk management

• Make risk a consistent and integral part of decision making framework so teams are proactive and front-footed in managing risk

• Be the focal point for Data Platforms risk, taking ownership of all risk related tasks that emerge both within Data Platforms or outside through risk governance

  WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  Translate Group strategy in to team priorities and actionable long-term plans, factoring the availability of resources and capacity

  Define and champion a clear and compelling risk strategy that maximises Data Platform's unique position of having a coordinated organisation of both product and engineering teams

  Partner with the network of business, engineering, risk, and other collaborators who will be part of the team collaborating to manage risk in Data Platforms and drive strategic business decisions

  Represent Engineering and Product risk to leaders and other senor partners, ensuring they are accurately briefed and understand the current and desired risk position

  Ensure risks are properly documented as per LSEG's processes and policies and participate in the relevant communities and committees, including taking ownership of committed activities
