The Role:

We are seeking a distinguished AI/ML Senior Leader to join our executive team in India. This is a strategic leadership role for an individual with over 15 years of extensive experience at the intersection of academic and industrial research in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The ideal candidate will be a world-class expert in Agentic AI, Generative AI, and deep neural network-based algorithms, with a proven track record of leading high-performing research teams and translating groundbreaking research into real-world impact.

This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and inspirational leadership. You will be responsible for setting the research agenda, driving innovation, and building a world-class team of scientists and engineers to develop the next generation of intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term research vision and strategy for our AI/ML initiatives in India, with a special focus on Agentic AI, Generative AI, and advanced deep learning.
• Research & Development: Lead and mentor a team of top-tier research scientists and engineers in the design, development, and deployment of novel algorithms and models in areas such as autonomous agents, large language models (LLMs), multi-modal AI, and complex neural network architectures.
• Agentic AI & Generative AI Expertise: Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance in the development of sophisticated AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and autonomous decision-making. Drive the creation of innovative generative models for a variety of applications.
• Deep Learning Innovation: Foster a culture of research excellence and push the boundaries of deep learning, exploring and applying state-of-the-art techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Academic & Industry Collaboration: Bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application. Foster strong relationships with leading academic institutions, publish in top-tier conferences and journals, and represent the company at international forums.
• Team Building & Mentorship: Attract, retain, and develop world-class talent. Create a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment that encourages creativity, risk-taking, and continuous learning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with product management, engineering, and business leaders to identify opportunities, translate research into impactful products and solutions, and drive the overall AI/ML roadmap.
• Manage effective stakeholder engagement across all levels. This includes the ultimate users of the platform, sales, pre-sales, product, and support
• Encourage creativity and challenge traditional thinking to solve business problems
• Manage multiple strategic enterprise clients ensuring detailed solution designs, sound execution plan, and attention to detail. Understand and advocate customer needs regarding product strategy
• Own the success of the Global Platforms

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of AI/ML, with a significant portion in a leadership or principal investigator role.
• Education: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a premier institution is preferred.
• Hybrid Experience: Demonstrated success in both academic research and industrial R&D environments, with a clear ability to connect theoretical advancements with practical applications.
• Technical Expertise:
• Agentic AI: Deep understanding and hands-on experience in building and deploying autonomous and multi-agent systems, including areas like planning, reasoning, and reinforcement learning for agent control.
• Generative AI: Extensive experience with large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, and other generative architectures. Proven ability to fine-tune and apply these models to novel problems.
• Deep Neural Networks: Mastery of a wide range of deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, RNNs, GNNs) and their applications in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, and speech recognition.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of researchers and engineers.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
