Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Director, Finance - G&A FP&A. This critical role will ensure we have a granular and actionable financial plan for our G&A functions, which is foundational for our finance organization and the broader company's success. As Director, you will play a high-impact role that requires strong analytical acumen, creative problem-solving, and the ability to build robust partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Your Impact
Work as a critical member of the Corporate Finance team, driving the planning, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis for G&A operating expenses across HR, Facilities, Legal, Finance and IT. Conduct in-depth analytics to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities within G&A spending
Own G&A expense forecasting and predictive models and continuously look for improvement opportunities for forecast accuracy and efficiency. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to G&A expenses to measure and optimize performance.
Partner closely with G&A leadership to continuously look for process improvements to reduce and eliminate manual redundant work and to streamline workflows. Ability to lead effective engagement and communication to avoid surprises and improve forecast predictability. Utilize strong influencing skills to guide decision-making and ensure alignment across departments
Collaborate with IT and implement new FP&A tools to automate G&A expense forecasts and reporting with integration to ERP. Analyze the return on investment (ROI) of technology implementations and ensure they deliver expected efficiencies
Own month-end and quarter-end close processes for G&A expenses. Collaborate with key stakeholders in the company to ensure accurate and timely close
Own G&A expense analysis and reporting, providing insights into cost drivers, efficiency opportunities, and budget adherence. Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate financial performance to various stakeholders
Drive ad-hoc strategic and financial analyses related to G&A investments and initiatives. Conduct thorough investment ROI analysis to support strategic decision-making. Build strong collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization to achieve shared goals
Your Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, MBA preferred.
8-10+ years of experience in finance, with a strong emphasis on G&A FP&A or corporate finance supporting overhead functions, including an ability to recruit, manage, and mentor high-performing teams
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with strong experience in managing operating expenses, headcount planning, and cost center analysis
Strong GAAP accounting knowledge required
Ability to prioritize, adapt to changes, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
Team player, self-motivated, proactive, organized, positive attitude
Advanced proficiency in Excel, G-Suite and FP&A-oriented software offerings. Experience with financial systems including SAP, SAC and data visualization tools, including Tableau

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $203000 - $279500/YR.
