Job Summary

PayPal Ads is building the next generation of commerce media, connecting brands, agencies, and consumers through PayPal’s trusted ecosystem and unmatched transaction data. This Director of Agency Development role will lead strategic engagement and revenue growth with the Publicis Groupe agency network globally. The position is pivotal in shaping how PayPal Ads partners with major agency holding companies to drive platform adoption, develop joint solutions, and deliver measurable client value across the commerce journey. The successful candidate will serve as the senior relationship lead for Publicis, responsible for executive alignment, commercial growth, education, and enablement across key Publicis media brands.

  • Represent PayPal Ads as a senior voice in industry forums, agency summits, and executive briefings.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Data Science, Product, and PayPal’s broader commercial teams to deliver scaled and integrated solutions for Publicis clients.
  • Lead forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management for the agency partnership.

We are looking for a Director of Agency Development to lead strategic engagement and revenue growth with the Publicis Groupe agency network globally.

This role is pivotal in shaping how PayPal Ads partners with major agency holding companies to drive adoption of our media platform, develop joint solutions, and deliver measurable value for clients across the commerce journey. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of media agency dynamics, data-driven advertising, and consultative partnership development with a deep appreciation for PayPal’s mission to reimagine commerce.

You will serve as the senior relationship lead for Publicis, responsible for executive alignment, commercial growth, education, and enablement across key Publicis media brands.

  • Represent PayPal Ads as a senior voice in industry forums, agency summits, and executive briefings — reinforcing PayPal’s role in the evolving commerce media ecosystem.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Data Science, Product, and PayPal’s broader commercial teams to deliver scaled and integrated solutions for Publicis clients.
  • Lead forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management for the agency partnership; ensure accountability, consistency, and transparency across all engagements.

Essential Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital media sales, agency development, or holding company partnerships, with a strong track record in driving agency revenue.
  • Deep familiarity with Publicis Groupe’s structure, operating model, and agency brands (e.g., Starcom, Zenith, Spark Foundry, Performics, Epsilon, Publicis Media).
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizations, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment around strategic initiatives.
  • Expertise in commerce media, retail media, programmatic, or data-driven advertising ecosystems.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence — comfortable representing PayPal Ads in C-suite conversations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a data-led mindset and business acumen.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
